U9s Sharks vs Littleborough Stripes (A) - 25th Feb 2023
One to forget 🤦🏻
Put simply….it was a dreadful performance and could have been a cricket score.
Due to illness and parents not replying to me, we only had 8 turn up and lost a player to illness in the first few minutes, so couldn’t make any substitutions.
Our centre back Elliott Smith was out through illness, and it was a big loss.
Littleborough were well organised and a good team, but we quit….
We stood around ball watching, we were lazy up and down the pitch, positionally we were all over, we didn’t attempt to pass, ran the ball head down in the direction we were facing and started arguing amongst ourselves.
Having made massive steps forward since Christmas, this was frustrating to watch and I’m struggling to find any positives.
We need to draw a line under this one, dust ourselves off and next week start again.
Player of the Match was Albie Rowe who made some good saves in goal and kept the scoreline down by a considerable amount.
